I notice in my 'event viewer' periodically I get the following error. None today, but yesterday there were 4 within 16 minutes of each other.
"VSS. Volume Shadow Copy Service Error: Unexpected error calling routine to Create Instance 0x80070422"
Pasted below was instructions for solving the problem, but both items suggested for enabling are already enabled in my services.
Could I have guidance and opinion if this is a worry and how to solve this please. As mentioned no errors have occurred today at this stage.
Thank you.

" Product: Windows Operating System
Event ID: 8193
Source: VSS
Version: 5.2
Symbolic Name: VSS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED_CALLING_ROUTINE
Message: Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error calling routine %1. hr = %2.
Explanation
This informational event is logged when the system starts in Safe Mode on a computer running Windows XP because COM+ is not enabled in Safe Mode or, occasionally, when antivirus and indexing programs open temporary files used by backup programs during backup.
This message also appears if there is a problem in the COM+ infrastructure, such as when the COM+ services are disabled or not registered correctly, or when a program such as FORMAT, CHKDSK, or Logical Disk Management opens a volume with an exclusive lock and the Volume Shadow Copy service cannot create a shadow copy.
User Action
If a program opened a volume with an exclusive lock, wait until the program finishes running and then try again.
To see whether there is a problem with the COM+ infrastructure, do one or all of the following:
In MMC, in the Services snap-in, verify that the COM+ services are enabled. If they are not, set EventSystem (COM+ Event System) and SENS (System Event Notification) to auto-start instead of to disabled.
Verify that the COM+ infrastructure is registered correctly. For more information about registering the COM+ infrastructure, see article 246499 in the Microsoft "

Hi Ax,
I already researched that article, but when I type I get a message to say "Windows cannot find this file" Make sure you typed the name correctly." Any other suggestions please Ax.
Best regards,
Ax238
Thanks for the reply tallin, I would imagine this is because you are running Windows XP Home Edition?
The following article mentions that these errors can occur if Volume Shadow Copy is enabled for shared folders:

See also here for information on sharing folders and VSS:

Hi Ax238,
Since your last post which I thank you sincerely for I have learned from and followed the link sent by you.
I have changed the settings as required in My Computer/Manage/Services. Since rebooting there are no error messages, but then today there was only one early this morning when I started up..
All five below on my machine were incorrectly set in 'Services' They are now set as stated in the article sent by you…………..
So once again I thank you for your effort here for me. Great work and help to me
