After a few hours of surfing and reviewing what to be aware of when starting up the computer, I think I have been jacked!?
Can someone please take a moment to review?
I installed AVG, and within days have have over 500 alerts. I know some are
from legitimate sources, but 500!!!

Thank you,
Paula

Original Post:
Thank you for your forum first off !!
Concerned with what to enable/disable during startup? I definitely require more memory.
Also during Hijack, R1 (dellmyway) was the only one highlighted,
I do not utilize this as my home page—> okay to delete??
Any thoughts as to why Flash 9 requires installation every time I startup? I have it saved on desktop for quick reference - thought by marking it 'read only' it would not disappear! Wrong.
Any other concerns with the log please let me know.
Gosh I wish I knew 1/2 the computer info you guys do !!!
Thank you!

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two.

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Thank you for your response. I removed IE.7….. not realizing I did not have IE.6…. thank goodness for system restore ! Did the restore, downloaded IE.6. Then I proceeded with the My Computer-Tools-Folder Options etc etc. I also had ATF Cleaner installed, and perhaps that is what was making my computer slower than usual. I also had some runtime errors prior, nothing yet.
I am operating on IE.6 , should I update to IE.7? Also my computer wants to install updates from Microsoft, should I download them? My computer screen seems a bit 'shaky'… other than that so far so good.
I thank you again !!!!
