Window XP Home with SP2

Hi Could someone help me with this computer of mine. When my automatic updates are on it seems to restart itself every 5 mins or so. So I had to turn it off. Also when I try to download then manually it crashes and restarts same as when I try to install Windows Media 11 and Internet Explorer 7.

hmm.. check the fan on the back of your power supply..is it working? If so, then first thing you need to do download Hijack this here and scan and post the results in the Hijack this logs and spyware/malware removal forums here. Make sure and do not fix anything yet with hijack this. Wait till an expert assists you.
