Hello ballisticwhiplash and welcome to the TC forums.

Before starting any cleaning steps, please temporarily disable Windows Defender and SpySweeper real-time protection so they don't interfere with the HJT fix:
  • Open Windows Defender.
  • Click on Tools.
  • Click Options.
  • Uncheck Use real-time protection (recommended).
  • Click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.
Disable SpySweeper. You can re-enable it after you're clean.
To disable SpySweeper:
  • Open SpySweeper
  • Click Shield Settings on the right(or Shields on the left, depending what screen you're on)
  • Click Internet Explorer and uncheck all items
  • Click Windows System and uncheck all items
  • Click Hosts File and uncheck all items
  • Click Startup Programs and uncheck all items.
  • Exit Spysweeper
You have Spyware Cleaner installed. This program is listed on the Spyware Warrior list of "rogue" programs. False positives work as goad to purchase the product. See this link for more information.
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm
I would recommend uninstalling it. If you decide to do so go to Add or Remove Programs and uninstall the following if present.
Click Start > Control Panel > Double Click Add or Remove Programs:

Spyware Cleaner

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)

If you decided to remove Spyware Cleaner then also have HJT remove this entry:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Spyware Cleaner] "C:\Program Files\Spyware Cleaner\SpywareCleaner.Exe" /boot

Then close all windows except this one and press Fix checked.

Delete the following folder also if present (if removing Spyware Cleaner):

C:\Program Files\Spyware Cleaner<–Folder
