My pc appears to be infected with Downloader Virus. Can you please help me to get rid of it?

Welcome to the forum :wavey:

Please disable Ad-Watch, as it may hinder the removal of some HijackThis entries. You can re-enable it after your computer is clean.

To disable Ad-Watch:

1. Right click on the Ad-Watch icon in the system tray and select "Restore Ad-Watch".
2. At the bottom of the screen there will be two checkable items called "Active" and "Automatic".
3. Uncheck (red X) both items.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.

This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only

Don't run it yet.

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Close the program.

Reboot in normal mode and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis! log file into this thread. :)

Thanks a lot for your help. I followed all your instructions, except for disabling Ad-Watch because I couldn't find any Ad-Watch icon in the system tray, and so far it looks like the virus disappeared. Here's my new HijackThis log:
