Over the past few days I have ran Ewido, Panda AV, AdAware, and a few other programs, and have deleted a bunch of Spyware/Viruses including CWS.Cassandra, TopAV (Spyware Quake), Security Toolbar, SpyFalcon, SearchBar.B, and SHMGRATE.exe. However, my computer still shows "Uinstall Aze Bar" in my Add/remove programs, which I believe is part of SpywareStrike?? I am still weary though that there is unfound virii or spyware on my computer, as the performance has greatly degraded over the past day or so. I have run TuneUp Utilities, MemOptimizer, Diskkeeper Disk Defragmenter, etc., but performance is still sluggish at best.
Any help/info is greatly appreciated. And TIA.

Hello and welcome to TomCoyote forum. You mention Spyware Quake, SpyFalcon and SpywareStrike. I looked at the log and see none of those and should also say it is rare to see more than one at a time, BUT they are almost always associated with a Smitfraud infection and if it is not removed right problems persist. I will point you here: http://forums.tomcoy...hp?showforum=97 and suggest you choose one of the fixes for an item you know has been on the computer like say: http://forums.tomcoy...showtopic=60398 It is kind of hard for me to direct you, but the smitRem tool is important. Choose the fix for what you are sure you have seen and run through the complete fix, let me know if that takes care of your problem, post a new log at that time, there is one ActiveX I will suggest you remove.
If the Panda is part of the fix you choose, please save and post the scan results along with that log.

Yes. I did find the SmitFraud removal program, though it didn't find any files. I manually went through and deleted all suspicious/ known spyware files before I ran the program though. So, I think those are all taken care of. However, a few days later, I did notice that in my C:Windows folder I had a bunch of new files; Tool1.exe, Tool2.exe, all the way through Tool5.exe, as well as KS1.exe???, MS1.exe, secure32.html, country.exe, and a few others. I researched it some online, and deleted all the associated files, but it also said on McAfee's site that this Trojan tends to delete certain registry keys, mostly pertaining to Windows XP firewall. However, I don't know which exact keys and values were there that I need to recreate. My Windows XP firewall does seem to be working fine.

I am not quite sure what you are saying? Either you have a problem or you don't. I gave you instructions to run through which would remove anything leftover from Smitfraud, and to run Panda which will show stuff that is is left, and you return none of that information. If you have issues you want me to attempt to help you resolve, follow the instructions I posted. If you do not, then let me know and I'll give you some good information that may help you prevent other infections and close the topic. Thanks

I appreciate your help, and sorry if my last post was a little confusing. Basically, I believe I have deleted all of the spyware/trojans on my computer, but am not 100% sure. I have run AdAware, Spybot S&D, Panda, Ewido, as well as some registry cleaners like CCleaner, and Tune-Up Utilities...and all of them show that I'm virus/trojan free.
However, my concern is that some of my registry keys were modified/deleted due to this last virus/trojan, and I don't want to do a registry backup until Im sure everything is OK. I hope this makes a little more sense now. And here is an updated HijackThis log...and the "Taskbar Hide" is a program that I downloaded, though it sounds like the name of a spyware/adware file.

I can see no malware, I would suggest you get rid of this item:
O16 - DPF: {3A7FE611-1994-4EF1-A09F-99456752289D} - http://install.wildt...iveLauncher.cab it is on the IE-Spyad restricted list. It is probably more adware than malware, so you can make the call.

ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:
