what is this ANVIOCTL?

Dear TC Forum, My PC runs okay until I run a game, then it locks up solid after a couple of minutes and won't respond to anything other than a reboot. The event viewer says that "The following boot start or system start drivers failed to load ANVIOCTL". Device manager shows it in hidden devices list under "non plug and play drivers" and there is an exclamation mark next to it. I have undertaken motherboard and cpu upgrade recently, but as this started before that, I don't think it can be related…..but then, what the heck do I know. Any help from the pros deeply appreciated. Paul.

A search shows this as related to "enhanced driver for the ASUS Video card" If you have an "Asus" graphics card, you should check the driver version. Possibly re-installing or installing the latest version of the driver (from the graphics board manufacturer) will help.
