im trying 2 play City of Heroes on my pc. without having 2 buy ne upgrades i've heard if u reduce the number of threads that runs in the background itll help reduce the lag or wut hav u, n increase load times. on another note, i pull up task manager 2 try n end some processes that i view are not needed 2 simply just run my game n wuteva is needed 2 sustain function in my cpu. but on task manager i noticed "svchost.exe" is runnin 3 different times. each with different pid n memory usage numbers. is that a bug or if u hav ne info about it plz let me know.

no you need all those svchost processes. What backround programs do you have running?

limewire can go (in my opinion permanatnly)
you can temporarily disable norton when playing your game (but that will put you open to infection)

NSCSRVCE.EXE = 023 - Service: Norton Protection Center Service (NSCService) - Symantec Corporation - C:\Progam Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Security Console\NSCRSRVCE.EXE i used HijackThis 2 get this info, n just typed it out exactly how it is on my screen. if u also notice that i mistyped it the first time NSCLSRVCE.EXE when in fact its without the L. also if u would give me ne suggestions 4 a better more secure file sharing program would b very much appreciated. thank you again friend.
