I started recently seeing that SVCHOST takes a lot of CPU% usage. I used program called "Process Explorer" to identify the source of problem and found out that thread "kernel32.dll!CreateThread+0x22" was causing the problems.

But as you can see on picture, there are another same threads, which is interesting…

Now even if i kill this thread, it will still be happening as computer starts. Is there a way to kill permanently this thread or to know more how it can be stopped?
Hi Boris

Process Explorer is a properly tool for your problem, but you have to configure symbols for Process Explorer.

Please do following:

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS FOR WINDOWS OS INTERNALS LABS by David Solomon
Items 1, 16 (Symbols path: srv*c:\symbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols) and 18, explanation Item 17.

Now run Process Explorer again with Internet connected.

When notice CPU spike – high % , double-click on the svchost.exe (or other process of interest), than switch to the Threads page.

Click on the CSwitch Delta. Select thread with the highest value.

Press the Module button to launch Explorer's file properties dialog box for the image file that contains the start address of the currently selected thread.

Press the Stack button to see the current stack of the selected thread (hold down CTRL+SHIFT, and press END. Click the Copy button, and paste the results).

Please repeat that a few times.
