I have recently removed the sdram and installed ddram. I Unplgged the power and removed the battery. Windows XP booted fine. When I reboot XP wont boot. Put the sdram back in and it works fine. My computer is capable of 2 gig of sdr or ddr.
Boot into BIOS and see if the setting is there. If not… its a jumper on the board. (your sure that your board will run SDRAM or DDR..? because thats two completly different things there)

First off what bios setting are talking about. yes the board will dun ddr. Its capable 2gigs of sdr or 2 gigs of ddr.
Motherboard- MSI KM2M Combo-L (601-6768-010) K7, KM266, 5.1ch S/W Audio, Lan. Processor is AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (2.13ghz) (2130 mhz).
hmm.. Well I've seen stranger things I guess. I dont know what the setting is, but invariably theres going to be one. Look on the board itself.. see if theres a jumper setting for DDR/SDR
