Can someone tell me how to post a hjt log from a secondary computer that the hjt log file was scanned to and stored in my documents/my pictures. Can't seem to get copy/paste/notepad to work correctly for posting to the coyote hjt forums. Anyone? Thanks, robby mcgee
If the infected computer can run the HJT scan, you will want to put it in it's own folder like this:
Click My Computer, then C:\
In the menu bar, File->New->Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis". Now you have C:\HJT\ folder. Put your HijackThis.exe there, and double click to run it.
Click on "Do a system scan and save logfile". It will be saved to notepad. If you can't save it to notepad, then use wordpad.
