When I ran a HJT scan I found several Registry entries that are related to programs that are no longer on my computer - Spykiller, Prodigy, Lexmark, to name a few. I once downloaded and installed Spykiller and upon reading that it could be harmful I deleted it. A Lexmark printer driver I once used apparently put three entries in the Registry. I changed from Prodigy to my current ISP about 3 years ago and removed the Prodigy software. All of these items are still in my Registry. Can I use HJT to remove these entries without damaging the Registry or causing other problems? Any reason to be concerned about them? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. JR

Johnny Reb, Please hold off the fixing in HijackThis and post your entire log in the apropriate HijackThis-forum. I am under the impression there could be some more things that need fixing. Greetings, Thunder
Thunder, I have posted a copy of my HJT log in the HJT forum under this same topic heading - Registry Question - Windows Me. Your suspicions are correct, I am having severe speed problems in IE and had posted those problems in the other forum. I pasted those comments in my new post in case they are all related. Thanks for your help and look forward to hearing from you in the other forum once you have reviewed my log. JR
