Trying to do repair installation using XP Pro CD Rom, when it gets to installing devices it asks for a file named usbehci.sys. If I try to bypass this file I get the Blue Screen Of Death???? Downloaded usbehci.sys file from Driver Guide and file was not compatable with Windows XP Pro. Now cannot get machine out of set up mode and into Safe Mode (stuck). Cannot locate right file anywhere. Please advise about getting machine out of set up mode and do you know of any link that can get me correct usbehci.sys file to be compatible with Windows XP Pro. Thank you in advance.
Can you boot without the CD in? IF you have gone far enough in the install process, you have overwritten any previous installation therfore your going to have get another copy of that XP. I am assuming its saying it cant read that file and you can retry abort or skip. If thats the case then like I said.. need another copy of XP.
