I have been experiencing regular screen freezes on AOL (9.0) and was going through 'Add/Remove Programs' to free up some hard drive space when I came across something called AAOHFGQ or somthing similar. This made me suspicious to start with but there's no program info shown so I click on 'Change/remove' and it gives me a pass code to type in. I exited and went back in today and it was now called PRXJWEVQ. It has a Yellow icon with a green Q on it next to the program name if this helps? What info could I give you to help with screen freezes, would that be a Hijack This problem? Could someone point me to similar problems they've helped with? I've noticed in my 'processes' that I've three seperate SVCHOST.EXE running that are all attributed to SYSTEM, is this right? Cheers guys
The multiple instances of svchost.exe is normal. My machine, at this moment, is running 6 instances of it. So don't worry about that.

The entry in Add/Remove Programs does not sound good though. Especially seeing how its seems to be randomly named and mutating if you reboot.

I suggest posting a log in the HijackThis Forum(try not to post HJT logs in this forum). If you don't have it, you can get the newest version here.
Hi Bling … just wondering if you have identified the cause of the bug that uses the yellow program icon w/green Q? I traced how to prevent the gibbly-gook-named executable from installing itself on startup, but can't locate the source! Any ideas? Thanks!
