About:bland Has Taken Over

I hope I can do this without screwing up the computer. I've been trying to get About:Blank off for 48 hours off my son's pc.

We've run on all the tried and trues over and over, Spybot, Spyware Blaster, Adaware, Spyware Sweeper (paid for subscription,) Popup Buster+, and running Symatecs Virus Protection.

Also, since running all these cleanups:
Symantec AntiVirus Error message pops open when the PC and IE starts up

c:\docume~\client\local~\temp\se.dll



The updates on all these programs are not always coming through.

The computer is extremely slow and get's hung up and then sent back to About:Blank.

I followed all the steps and deleted the IE link with 01's in front of them. Some have seemed to regenerate.

I've been in the registry edit, but I'm nervous digging around with out step by step instructions. The About:Blank is regenerating in the registery too.

The list of '01' IE search entries is about a 1/3 from the first log I ran.
