Hello David, Welcome to TomCoyote forum. You log does not look to bad but there is a little cleanup we can do. First, we must get your HijackThis.exe out of the TEMP folder into a permanent folder where it can safely save backups we may need and the logfiles you create. If you wish to stay where you are, then return to Docs and Settings, point at a blank spot and create a NEW FOLDER. Name it HJT and move HJT.exe and any logs you see there into that nice new folder. I use mine all of the time, rarely does a week go by I do not run a fresh log and look it over. Now once that is done, you may delete everything else in that TEMP folder. NOT THE FOLDER…just the contents. If any instance of HJT is left in there it will go also. Thanks.

I see you are running: Microsoft AntiSpyware, you do realize there are a few issues and that it is still in the Beta stage. That is all I can say, other than that some programs like SpywareGuard, or others you have may try to stop the changes we want to make with HJT. If this happens you will need to turn them off until HJT has completed it's job.

Scan with HijackThis and check the box in front of each line item:

(If you use these next two you may leave them alone)

(I suggest you allow no one in your trusted zone)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser indows then click on "Fix Checked"
Clean Like this: Start, Run type "cleanmgr" without the quotes then ok. Check and remove anything windows locates. Empty the recycle bin and restart the computer. Post a new log for a final look along with your comments. I will have some great information to help you stay clean and safe. Use the following two links to stay in this thread.

Hello David, I must apologize and you may be aware the site is updating the software. I have not been able to access this thread until now. I wish to ask you about this item. First time I have seen it and it appears to be valid but information is scarce. Perhaps has to do with online phone calls? Can you validate that is good and perhaps link me to information about it for future reference. Thanks.

I have posted another entry re: my sister's computer at:
http://forums.tomcoyote.org/index.php?showtopic=30210
if you want to take a look at a mess;-)

The computer had 100+ infected files and many spyware programs.
It took forever just to get the thing to stay powered on. After many ginger ales and much work I managed to clean the thing. I did have to perform "netsh winsock reset" to access the internet. I am concerned though aboutxuron55.installdollars.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
Hi David, Thanks for trying to get that information. If it happens, it happens but don't worry about it. As far as your sister's log…it will depend on who posts to it first. I have the link and if no one has looked at it before I clear my current obligations I will see what I can do. Thanks again, and Safe Surfing. Thanks…pskelley TomCoyote forum Slyware Warrior
