 My wife's computer intermittently (it happens every couple of months for a day or two and then 'miraculously' goes away) types text into the input box on google's and yahoo's internet search page without my wife touching the computer keyboard. The text is not total gibberish in that it is made up of words and phrases, but they seem to be phrases without any discernable relationship to each other. I've seen phrases relating to sports, finance and news all in the same string of text. The auto typing just flows as if it is being typed in. It is almost as though someone has installed some VNC-like remote control program, but the text, with unrelated phrases stuck together doesn't make any sense. Here is where it gets really wierd... A couple of months back when this was happening the last time, I spoke with the ISP (SBC), thinking that maybe there is some wierd cross-talk going on and while I was talking to the tech support person, i noticed that the yahoo text input box typed part of a phrase that I had just spoken into the phone. It happened again this morning, but has stopped now. I have run anti-virus (Mcafee) and anti-spyware (Spybot and Ad-aware) without luck. It seems to "fix" itself and there doesn't seem to be any other negative effects, but this is the wierdest computing things I have ever seen. Any ideas?
