I Need Help Please

On my desktop there is 5 icons that I can't right click or delete. When I go in the "explore mode" and in the desktop folder I dont see those 5 icons.
I've run adware, spybot search and destroy, and norton antivirus, but they are still there…
If anyone knows how to get rid of those things please post.

Please download hijackthis from the link below. safe it to its own folder then with all windows closed click on "scaN' then "save log" a text file will be created. Please copy and paste that file into this thread by clicking on "add reply" at the bottom right.

Go to add/remove programs and look for MessengerPlus3! and remove if present.


Step # 1

Please download and run CWShredder. Make sure that all browser windows are closed with the exception of Cwshredder and choose FIX.

Please download and run Spybot & AdAware SE Then follow the instructions in the link below to run.

Then do a virus scan here >>> Trend Micro

I just removed msn messenger3 plus adn all the icons are now gone, so it was the source of my problem. Thanks alot for you help, it was really appreciated !!1 :thumbup:

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. In my signature below is also a tutorial on how to harden IE, a good read and very helpful to stop these things in the future. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on.
