Hi everyone, can I run spybot, adaware se and spyware balster together on the same computer or will I create a software conflict?
Please excuse my ignorance and accept my thanks in advance for any advice!

here's what I run on one system
spybot s& d on demand scan especially after every update
ad-aware scan after every update
javacool excellent programs
spyware blaster
spyware guard
win-patrol many trust Scotty the watchdog, I do
sometimes pest patrol (real time portion will be updatable)
(free scan will identify but notfix problems- some false positives)
sometimes webroot spysweeper (I have a licensed copy but you can use the
"one time only update free trial with Removal" it also has a real time portion
this would be to get a "second opinion" after running ad-aware and spybot
and before going to a HJT= Hijack This scan on an infected machine
norton anti virus script blocker
norton anti virus on line real time protion and e-mail scanner
You MUST have an updated AV installed at all times- your choice
spybot s& d hosts + other hosts file your choice
spybot s&d immunize
spybot s&d resident (t timer)
IE-Spyads ( a must if using IE)
other anti virus scans on demand
KAV is good at unpacking odd files and finding some trojans
a2 trojan scanner on demand- other trojan scanners if you still think you might have a trojan the two best ones have 30 day trials
zone alarm firewall (disable xp firewall if using xp)
sygate is also ok
just when you think everything is clean scan with GIANT
(on a previouly dirty system- it will find a different "set" of fragments, trails and baddies)) I would also use Giant on an infected machine after Webroot Spy-Sweeper
repair and before a HJT- reduces the load on the experts)
watch for false positives with everythig use google to check or post
windows update updated
office update updated
Do NOT have TWO AV's INSTALLED at the same time
Do not have two aniti-trojans installed at the same time
run a clean up program x-cleaner (especially on infected machine where spybot and ad-aware will not run)
internet sweeper, or CCleaner (works well on mozilla)
even MS Disk Clean up or Quarterdeck Clean-Sweep
if ad- aware and spybot will not run:
run an on-line virus scanner ot more than one
then run them in safe mode
AND get help here in the proper forum
