This is my roomates computer. He had AVG 6, which as you probably know, is soon to become not an option. I downloaded 7 for him, and we discovered that it interfered with the things he likes to use computer for. With AVG 7 installed, trying to play Neverwinter Nights crashed the computer (It's running win98se, which may have something to do with it) and trying to connect other games to their multi-player options also didn't work. Also one of his favorite games was undergoing a really weird periodic graphics hiccup, which only showed up after AVG& was installed. Not to mention a noticable slowdown in startup. Considering that pretty much all he does with this computer is game and surf for interesting .jpg images, AVG 7 in it's current form is not his friend. So, with AVG out of the running, what other free anti-virus software would you suggest? Edit: lack of g.
