I have had some trouble with Trojan Tibs.dialer and more spyware than usual. I run AVG virus scan and spyware S&D and although they do a great job I continue to be reinfected. Any help with my Hijack Log would be grealy appcicated.

Create a new folder called C:\HijackThis, move the HijackThis.exe file into the new folder and run it from there. This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong.

Make sure that you have no browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://www.heretofind.com/show.php?id=15&q=%s

Reboot when done, rescan with HJT and post a new log here for a final check over.
Here is my new HijackThis log. I have been infected by Startpage.11.AZ It was picked up (and healed) by AVG virus scan. It was in C:\windows\temp\pigo.dat.

Thank you very much for you help.

That looks OK now - how is it running?

Click here to make sure that you have the latest Critical Update patches for Windows. It's very important to keep your system up to date to avoid unnecessary security risks.
I downloaded and install the updates and there were quite a few as I had never done that before. The computer is running fine now and no trojans or pop ups for days. Thank you very much for all your help. AL
You're welcome - glad to help :D

To help keep you clean follow the recommendations in Tony's article here:

So how did I get infected in the first place?
