Finally after running both Spybot SD and Ad-Aware SE, RESCAN with HijackThis and POST your logfile in the same thread using ‘Add Reply’.

There is a newer of HijackThis1.98.2 Download it here
Please scan with this version.

When downloading, choose "save to disk" and NOT open!

Now create a new folder for it, C:\Hijackthis, for example.
After unzipping the file. to C:\Hijack This, you'll end up with the file itself, which is Hijackthis.exe, and that's the one you'll need to doubleclick.'

When the program launches, hit the "Scan" button
When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, and save the log anywhere you like.

Now if you doubleclick the log file.Go to Edit > Select all, then to Edit > copy.
Now you've copied the entire text to the Windows Clipboard (this happens behind your back.)

Next, go back to this forum thread, and click "Add Reply".
In an empty area click your RIGHT mouse button, and choose 'Paste' from the context menu.
ok, making progress I think.. thanks so much for your help….. ran both programs (ad-adware & spybot) per your instructions, rebooted computer, downloaded newer version of hijack and here is the log:

You do have some things in your log that HijackThis is not able to remove so please do this.

Download Registrar Lite from here

Put it in its own folder. You may want to keep this program. It is an excellent free, registry editor.
Copy and paste the follow text into the address bar, then hit 'Go':
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\URLSearchHooks

In the pane on the right are the values associated with that key.
We want to remove this one -> {CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497}_
Notice the underscore at the end, all the others with that need to go as well.

Right click on it, and select delete.
If you get a confirmation question, respond OK then close out the program.

Please go to add and remove programs and remove,
TV Media

Please read this link http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm HJT needs to be in it's own folder aand unzipped.
HijackThis makes backups. If you run it out of a compressed file, like a zip file, instead of running it from a directory, the backups will not be made.

Close all Browser and Program Windows and have HijackThis fix the following.
Do this by checking the box beside each and then clicking on Fix checked.

The following have randomly named file names, and as such are normally malware.
Follow their process tree. Right click on the file and go to Properties.
Then go to the Version tab to see what company name it's from:
Post back with the name if there is one.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\eifptti.exe
C:\WINDOWS\java\Packages\win.exe
C:\WINDOWS\Help\SBSI\pcmfc.exe
