Help!
At a minimum, I have a dialer that keeps popping up. No matter where I find it, it manages to survive and duplicate. Attached is the log file per your instructions. I would appreciate any and all help! Adaware and Spybot have not corrected the problem.

hello Trons,

could you move HJt to its own folder, out of the temp. dir

first do a online scan or two at one of these:

http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/co…n_principal.htm

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php

http://www.mwti.net/antivirus/free_utilities.asp
—————————————————————————————–
ok;

Make sure your PC is configured to show hidden files

Double click my computers & Go to Tools > Folder Options. Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked. Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and untick "hide extensions for known file types" . Now click "Apply to all folders"
Click "Apply" then "OK"
Reboot your PC into SAFE MODE (tap F5 key at start up, chose safe mode)
or see link:

Thank you for your assistance.
I tried to run the checkers you provided, and while they ran for over an hour, they never did anything! I finally gave up. I did run adaware and spybot. I then booted up in the safe mode and followed your directions. I have stopped using Explorer as any site I access that uses a password would not load. Firefox seems to have bypassed that problem. Attached is the latest log:

Thanks again for all your help! How does it look now?
Trons
hello Trons, your log looks good. since you have ad-aware i would configure it like this; Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Scanning Engine: check: "Unload recognized processes during scanning." Scanning > activate these: "Scan within archives", "Scan active processes", "Scan registry", "Deep scan registry", "Scan my IE Favorites for banned sites" and "Scan my Hosts file" Tweaks > Cleaning Engine: activate these: "Automatically try to unregister objects prior to deletion" and "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot." Press "Scan Now" - Check option "Use Custom scanning options" - Check option "Activate In-Depth Scan" - Press "Select drives\folders to scan" - Select the active partition which is usually C: Now press "Next" to let Ad-aware scan your drives… It will find a number of "bad" files and registry keys. Click 'Next' again Right-click in that pane and choose "select all" If it finds "bad" files and registry keys, press "Next" again It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK. happy safe surfing…………
Thanks Shelf Life for all your help. This was a frustrating process, however your assistance made it possible to clean out the mess. I knew when a spyware pop up occured not to click OK for a scan of my computer. I also knew not to click cancel; I did not know not to click the X either! I know now. Thanks again! Trons
