hello Ranker,

lets try this:

look in add/remove programs panel for something called: My Way Speed Bar and My Search Bar or My Web Search., if present uninstall.
Next:

Make sure your PC is configured to show hidden files

Open Windows Explorer & Go to Tools > Folder Options. Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked. Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and untick "hide extensions for known file types" . Now click "Apply to all folders"
Click "Apply" then "OK"

Reboot your PC into SAFE MODE(tap F5 key at start up, chose safe mode)
or:

next:
Have Hijack This fix all of the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and hitting fix checked. Make sure all browsers and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing.

also clear Temps:
using explorer(right click on start>explore) drill down to these >>> you want to delete whats >inside< the folder, not the folder itself<<

C:\Windows\Temp\

C:\Documents and Settings\-Your Profile-\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\ (will dump all your cached internet content including cookies)

C:\Documents and Settings\-Your Profile-\Local Settings\Temp\

Ooooo god I made a small mistake instead of unistalling my search bar through
add/remove programs I jump right away to …''make sure your pc is configured
to show hidden files and I followed step by steps all the rest of the procedure.

When I reboot in normal mode I read again (I have previously print your reply)
your reply to see if I forgot something and I saw the first lines add/remove….

geeee so I whent to add/remove….and saw the ''my search bar'' I clicked on
remove and then a message told me that the machine could not found …..

but still ''my search bar his there'' :(
is there a way to earase this in my add/remove program??????
Hello Ranker, Glad to help. That left over icon wont hurt anything. you got rid of everything it links to. if you really want to attempt to get rid of it, let me know. It will involve poking around in the system folder. Your latest log look good.
shelf life As someone told me once ''if a job deserve to be done it's deserve to be well done'' :) so yes I would like to find a way to get that icone out of the add & remove program this is without imposing upon your kindness.
