Why missmell75!!!

I think there's a spyware warrior in your shoes!!!??!!! ;)

Anytime it says "(no name)" and "(no file)" in the same line, it needs fixed.

The only time that's important is if you're missing something necessary.

In your case, it's just a little cleanup.

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!

Fix these with Hijack This!:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00000010-6F7D-442C-93E3-4A4827C2E4C8} - (no file)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {01F44A8A-8C97-4325-A378-76E68DC4AB2E} - (no file)

Reboot and post a new log file.

Unless something creeps back in, you'll be good to go.

I'd like to give you my suggestions for things to help prevent future infections.

Some other programs to be considered would be Spywareguard and Spywareblaster (I don't have the links for those).

Items you may wish to consider to harden your defenses against future infections:

Read "How did I get infected in the first place?" here:

http://boards.cexx.org/viewtopic.php?t=957

Download IE-Spyad here:

https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/resource.htm

IE-Spyad puts over 4000 known malicious web sites into IE's "restricted zone" to help prevent you from getting infected.

Check your browser settings here:

http://browsercheck.qualys.com/index.php

A series of "tests" (and suggested fixes) to help tweak IE's settings to help prevent infections when surfing the web.

Follow safe Internet practices:

1. Keep your virus definitions up to date, and scan your system regularly.

2. Don't open email, or download attachments from unrecognized email addresses.

3. Be careful when downloading email attachments, EVEN FROM PEOPLE YOU KNOW! Many virii, worms, and trojans infect a persons system then immeadiately spread themselves to the people in the infected persons addressbook via email attachments.

4. Be careful downloading files from the Internet. Scan all downloaded files with a reliable UP-TO-DATE antivirus program. Scan "zip" files BEFORE unzipping, and scan all unzipped files BEFORE USING THEM.

5. Keep your Windows and IE current with all the latest patches and updates.

thanks!! i've always been what my ex( the one who pointed me to HJT) reffers to as a "geek" to him that's anyone who is into computers and knows some of the little things like addaware antivirus's etc…problem is,i've never had any help :( ….i'm a pretty quick learner thank goodness. but that no name no file was pretty easy to pick up on though once you do a few logs. i'll do a search on yahoo for the spywareguard and the spywareblaster. my IE has some kind of blocker on it, however i still manage to get things on my computer pop ups etc. but i'm thinking it wasn't the IE that was alowing that but all the crap we just got rid of on my computer lol. i've saved the list of things you said to delete and will keep a look out whenever i use HJT and automatically fix them if they ever come up again. i'll post the new log in a few mintues i'm going to run my scans and then restart before i do just to make sure i've covered everything before the HJT. thanks for your help! your a wonderful helper and easy to understand not confusing at all as well as a good person to learn what to look for from :) Mell
ok this is odd, i did a the scans restarted and ran HJT. and i clicked those to and clikced fix. it said it deleted them, then i restarted the computer again. and did another scan. and they were there again. so i clicked them again, and i clicked fix and fixed it then restarted and did another scan. and i'm pretty sure it's the same ones there. it won't delete them, that or for some reason they keep coming back.

They're nothing to worry about.

The're not going to cause a problem.

The log looks good.

It's been fun, Mell. If you ever need more help, don't hesitate to come back.

If you're looking for a good pop-up stopper, I use this one:

http://www.panicware.com/product_psfree.html

It get's about 99.99% of the pop-ups.

The only thing about that program is that sometimes it stops things you want to pop-up when you click on a link. If that happens, you have to hold the key down, then click the link.

GOD bless!!!!

M68 :) :wavey:
thanks for all your help!! i'll try that pop up blocker as well. although there is a site i go to where the IM's are pop ups lol so that could be interesting, but it sure beats being bombarded with pop-ups. if i notice any unusual things or have anymore probelms i'll make sure to ask for help:) take care and thanks again! Mell
