I am deadlocked between installing Superbird and Advanced Chrome browsers on my recently purchased refurbished PC. Cannot seem to find enough info on either to make an informed decision. If anyone is using either browser, I would appreciate your opinion, good or bad.

Also need a browser (not Chrome or Firefox) that I can watch videos with, meaning having HTML5/H.264/Mp4 support. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yeah, I cannot find enough info either. I suspect that is, in part, because Windows 7 support is going away. Since this is a newly refurbished PC, I highly recommend you look into upgrading to W10 then you will have many options for browsers.

Before you say you don't want W10 for this reason or that, fuhgeddaboudit! W7 has been superseded multiple times over, is unsupported by Microsoft, is less secure. Program and hardware driver compatibility issues become more of an issue with W7 with each passing day. And W10 is not the problem or privacy concern as some would want you to believe. W7 is 11 years old and the developers of W10 have not been sitting on their thumbs since it came out.

And, if the concern is the look and feel for W10, that is not a problem either as a one-time purchase for a lifetime license for Start10 brings back the familiar W7 Start menu and desktop. Best $5 I ever spent! :)

NO DOUBT W7 was a great OS, but it is past time to let it go.

With W10, there are several quality, and safe, browsers you can use - including the new "Edge" which is based on Chrome but is not Chrome, is already in W10 and most importantly, is not IE. See Which Browser Should I Use for Watching Movies?

Alternatively, you could go with one of the many versions of Linux. There are several Linux compatible browsers that will meet your needs, while keeping you safe. With Linux, you can do just about everything you can do on a Windows system - except the latest games. Plus, installing and using Linux is a great learning experience.

2nd Bill 100% on this. Time to move on. Take the time to learn to use Windows 10. Upgrade is still free.
