Hi there

Recently on my touchpad on my Toshiba laptop running Windows 8, the touchpad has stopped working. It always works, though, a little time, maybe 2-3 minutes, after I start the computer. After that it completely doesn't respond.

Has anybody got any idea, what this could be about?

Try uninstalling the touchpad driver from Device Manager.

Windows key+R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.

Expand Mice and other pointing devices.

Right click on your touchpad and select uninstall device.

Reboot and let Windows 8 rediscover the touchpad reload the driver and see if that fixes the problem. Often does.
