Originally had this problem and posted about it here: https://forums.whatthetech.com/index.php?showtopic=130456#entry874857

now it randomly started back up today. Was watching a movie on windows media player. Wmp froze, nothing worked on my computer so i shut it down by holding down the power button. Restarted it and disk usage is high, computer is slow and the laptop is making random noises (sounds a bit like a click maybe?)

Running mbam again, but i havent downloaded or installed any programs since the issue resolved so dunno what the issue is. Guess I'll edit this with mbam results, but clearly there seems to be something going on

Edit:

Mbam found nothing, but the weird thing is when I run task manager & sort by disk usage, it looks the same when disk usage is 0-5% as when it is at 100%. Disk usage dropped back to normal after Mbam stopped, but here's a pic showing everyhing is at 0 or 0.1 MB/s, and it looks the same when disk usage is at 100%, so I dunno what causes the issue

Also, the bottom right corner of my laptop is hot now (usually its room temp). I have to assume its related

Sorry for the double post, but it started back up again and froze my laptop again (posting from my phone, but cant edit my post). Anyway, restarted and it wont start. I get a blue popup on a black screen that says

EFI Network 0 IPv4 (F0-76-1C-17-F7-F1) boot failed

I hitenter and the same thing pops up except it sayz IPv6 instead of IPv4. I hitenter again and it says:

Deafault boot device missingor boot failed
insert recovery media and hi any key
then select boot manager to choose a new boot device or to boot recoverymedia

i cant even start my computer now
You can lock this, i just sent it to lenovo so they could handle it….apprexiate the help from lazt time ken, but seems like it wss mostly a hardware issue
