Hello I have a wireless router doing nothing and wondered if it can be used as a switch?
check the settings of router it is wifi extender please make sure that your internet connection is working if it is working and still your router is not throwing internet signals then think about switch

Thank you for replying. My current one is not a switch but I did read your referrals, thank you.
I am using a wireless router now and my question was, can I use the wired one in conjunction with this wireless one?
Do I have to do trial and error?
My caution is I did not want to weaken security, but want to extend range.
I want to use the two I have now, one wired the other wireless. The wireless is currently the one I am using and the wired is just sitting on a shelf.
