Did you make any changes around that time, like add or remove hardware or programs?
Sounds like the CMOS battery has gone bad, a CR2032 on Desktop systems, not sure what the HP Elitebook 6930p has or how hard it would be to replace it. It is normally much harder to replace on a laptop than it is on a desktop system.

I managed to piggy back onto a wi fi whilst on vacation.( so will need to be v. brief!)
The CMOS battery is underneath the keyboard on these models

Usual warnings needed about ESD and need to remove wireless card…. and I have also found (from bitter experience!) that if you are not snappy in replacing battery….going for more than about 5 minutes without the battery can reset the BIOS (not always but it can!)
