I have used EaseUs ToDo to do a system backup to a 128 GB USB stick, but now that I want to restore, it refuses to see the image. Is there a way to change this behavior?

Hi incredulous and welcome to the WTT forums.
When you created the image you will have had the opportunity to check and verify the image you made….
Take a look here for details:
http://www.todo-backup.com/products/features/check-backup-image-file.htm
Presumably you also made a Linux Boot disc???

Yes, I verified the image, and no I didn't create a Linux Boot disk.
Ok all understood,
If it verified Ok then it should be visible…
I'd be inclined to create the Linux Boot disc and with the image media plugged in, boot from it (Linux Boot disc) and see if you can "restore from there:

Ok, understood
There could be a few reasons for this…. however a likely one is that the image didn't burn successfully on to your flash drive…… to check this can you try accessing the flash drive on another computer and see if you can see the image file?
When you booted from the Linux disc did it boot Ok ?

Hello Incredulous
I have not used the utility you are presently using, but with others and particularly Acronis, the default locations from which to restore are often somewhat limited and may not include where you actually saved the .iso image. This has been particularly true in my experience with regard to saving the .iso image to external USB connected HDs.
If that happens to be the case for you, I've found that diligently using the "browse" feature may help discover the location of your backup.
Not expecting that this will solve your situation, but offering the experience from similar situations.
Best Regards

We have come full circle. Thanks for your patience. Perhaps I'll just try to copy it to another partition and see if that works.
Yep that may work,
However this is not the first time that I've come across a situation where a seemingly good USB stick will not work correctly on certain machines in all circumastances, especially when dealing with large cap USB 3 Memory sticks.
You may be better off using external USB hard drives (an inexpensive USB 2 version will do fine) or even DVD's/BluRay's at a pinch!
