Dear people;….

I have recently completed installing Windows 8 & pretty much like what I see so far…

I have updated to Win8.1 & had the Win10 upgrade icon in my tray by the clock which since disappeared…
As far as I can tell , I'm still in the running for Win10…

However , that's not my immediate concern…
Today a mysterious Icon suddenly appeared on my desktop…
I can not move/relocate it..
When I try , it pops back where it was…
It calls itself "HomeGroup"…
I opened it & says:..
No other HomeGroup PCs are available right now"…
It has a "Start The HomeGroup Troubleshooter" which I ran briefly just to see if I could get rid of it…
Any idea of what this is ???
Any suggestions as to how to get rid of it ???
I don't think this has anything to do with Win8 or Win10…
I tried to find it in the "Programs & Features" & it's not there either…
I do hope this is not a virus or malware…

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions…

Are you enjoying the new OS?

Yes , so far I like it…
I'm going to hold off on the Win 10 upgrade for awhile till some of the bugs are worked out & fixed…
That'll give me more time to learn  Win 8 …

THANKS for your help…
It IS appreciated…

My two cents,  your going to love Windows 10  but yes give it several months before you install it
