I've really broken my PC this time (closed)

Hello, Ok here goes…My subscription to MacAfee virus protection ran out recently and I decided to go with Avast Free Protection. After putting Avast on my system and running the scans, it picked up about 7 or 8 infections (which I was - admittedly naively - surprised at since MacAfee hadnt picked up anything for a long time). So these things were moved to the Avast 'chest'. Coincidentally we got a new BT Homehub router at EXACTLY the same time as this (someone, somewhere hates me) and it was set up………but my PC just didnt recognise the new router at all. Stupidly, I thought this could be due to the items I had moved to the Avast chest so I, um, restored everything that was in the chest. After seeing that this had no effect
