Hello, A couple of days ago my Acer Aspire 4530 laptop gave me a message that I should replace the battery. The battery still seemed to charge and the laptop worked fine so I ignored it. Today, the laptop said it was low on power even though it was plugged in. I tried a different outlet and it still gave me the message. A few minutes later, it died. I tried taking the battery out and putting it back in but it still acts like it's receiving no power. Would replacing the battery fix the issue? Thanks for your help.
Hi onefire and welcome to the WTT forums. Sorry to hear about the problem with your netbook. Putting in a replacement battery MAY solve the issue, but its not guaranteed to work so before you spend your cash try this: 1 Press and hold in the power on button for 30 seconds 2 Turn the netbook over and carefully remove the battery..place it somewhere safe where the terminals cant "short" out 3 Remove any other wires that are connected to the computer, power cord, ethernet cable, printer cable other ethernet/firewire devices, external mouse etc etc so your netbook is completely free of any external connections, remember to remove any memory sticks or cards that may be plugged in to the computer… 4 Now fit the power cord only…. nothing else 5 Press the power on button normally any joy?, any lights showing ? does the hard drive spin up, fans running? any vibrations? Let us know how your computer responds Regards paws

Hi Paws,

Thank you so much for your help! This morning the laptop started up just fine, so I'm not sure what was going on last night. Hopefully it will keep working! I'll let you know if it stops receiving power again. Thanks again for your quick response!
