From the Microsoft update page it stated 1 update was available. It downloaded, but will not install. When trying to install it, a box came up labled "Automatic Updates." Below this is, "Some updates could not be installed. The following updates were not installed: Security update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0 (KB928365)." It states this is a High Priority Update and, "A security issue has been indentified that could allow an attacker to compromise your Windows-based system running the Microsoft .NET Framework and gain contrrol over it. You can protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft. After you install this item you may have to restart your computer." The update couldn't be installed, so why does it say to siolve the problem is to install the software?
At this point, your issues do not appear to be related to malware and I'd like to refer you to our Windows Forum for additional help. When posting there, please feel free to include a link to this post in case they need to see any information contained in the logs.

I'm not trained to assist you with the Windows issues, and this seems to be beyond my expertise. I think they will be better able to assist you than I can on this one.
