My mom is working on a website and is looking for a web host (She isn't sure yet whether the host will be free or not, but the site will be pretty basic). and looking to register a domain name that used to be registered. My questions are…
1. What is the very best paid web host to consider? I heard good and bad things about hostgator.com, but wasn't ready to try it just yet. My mom making a very basic site for now, but it may be expanded on in the future.
2. What is the best free web host to consider? Is there free web host that doesn't force you to use their ads?
3. Can you recommend a web host if paid that doesn't require a contract?
4. What is the best place to register a domain name that has the best price?
5. Can you register domain names for longer than a year?

I suggest trying bravehost, there are both free and paid packages, it depends on your particular demands (pop-up advertisements or no ads, storage space and such), it usually works with no bugs and has very attractive templates for websites.
