Ok techies I am having a major issue. I had to reinstall my Win Ultimate 7 because SP1 wouldnt install until I did so. Well since then I went to HP's web site and downloaded all of the required drivers. Well here is where the issue starts. Everything works except the Intel® ICH9 Universal Host Controller, it has the yellow exclamation next to 8 different items which are numbered: 2934 2935 2936 2937 2938 2939 293A 293C It shows that I have the correct drivers but they fail every time I go to the device manager and uninstall them I have tried everything. Heck my volume bar that shows up isnt even there anymore. I have a HP Pavillion dv6-1375dx
Hi Sorry to hear of the problems with your USB….
I take it that none of your USB ports are functioning?…is that right?
2 If you have uninstalled all USB and rebooted to let Windows find the correct drivers and this hasn't worked…. have you downloaded the correct driver files…. 64 bit or 32bit….?
3 If you installed the HP drivers from their site…did you overwrite your existing….. That is to say use parameters for the install…?
3 Have you run the online HP driver finder?
4 If all else fails then take a look here:

1. yes this is correct, none of my usb's are working 2. yes i uninstalled the drives to allow windows to find the correct ones and this didnt work either 64bit 3. HP'S site have the auto detect solution like the Intel site, so I allowed the site to auto detect my drivers. (if not how can i earase the drivers to ensure a clean or recommended install?) 4. been there downloaded the utility, tried that too
Hi,
Ok all understood.
Just one point
did you do it this way?

did you overwrite your existing….. That is to say use parameters for the install…?

no not to my knowledge, when i attempt to install anything new it says i have the best drivers installed. if i did how can i correct this?
I am still having issues. It says the latest drivers are installed although when it is updating the drivers via the troubleshooting option it says software did not load properly. I think the drivers are corrupted. So outside of reinstalling win 7 ultimate are there any other options?
