SOMEONE GOOD PLEASE HELP Windows vista installation failure

my father gets back tomorrow night. if its not fixed by then im dead seriously need help here. ok so i started reinstalling windows like usual, i left the room while it was - expanding files- and when i get back there was a screen that said: Windows Boot Manager Windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software change might be the cause. to fix the problem: 1.insert your windows installation disc and restart 2.choose your language setting, and then click NEXT 3. click "reparir your computer" File: \windows\system32\drivers\atapi.sys status: 0xc0000221 info: windows falied to load because a critical system driver is missing or corrupt. so i restarted it , clicked -repair your computer- like it told me to and got: -windows cannot repair this problem automatically -send or dont send … problem details: Problem signature: problem event name: StartupRapeirV2 prob. signature 01: external media prob signature 02: 6.0.6000.16386.6.0.6000.16386 signature 03: 3 signture 04: 131074 signature 05: FailureDuringSetup signature 06: FailureDuringSetup sig 7&8 : 0 signature 09: unknown signature 10: 1168 OS version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.1 locale ID: 1033 this is getting me nowhere… i did everything according to instrucitons and the pc just capped out on me. i have the motherboard driver and graphics driver on a dvd and cd, and ALSO have them on disc E. windows is on C… i really appreciate the help - ill provide any additional info if neccesary

Unfortunately, it appears there is a good chance you are infected.

I would assume that you tried to do a repair install of windows, rather than a fresh (delete all the old data) install?

At this point of the game, that may be your only option, but I'm going to recommend you head on over to the Malware Removal Forum and post a new thread for advice. They may have some tools and information at their disposal to get you back up and running seems how you have the vista installation disc.

Atapi.sys is commonly infected with rootkits.
