Hi,

Please do the following:

Please download DDS from either of these links

LINK 1
LINK 2

and save it to your desktop.
  • Disable any script blocking protection
  • Double click dds to run the tool.
  • When done, two DDS.txt's will open.
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

Download GMER Rootkit Scanner from here to your desktop. It will be a randomly named executable.
  • Double click the exe file.
  • If it gives you a warning about rootkit activity and asks if you want to run scan…click on NO, then use the following settings for a more complete scan.

    [external image: Posted Image]
Click the image to enlarge it
  • In the right panel, you will see several boxes that have been checked. Ensure the following are unchecked
    • IAT/EAT
    • Drives/Partition other than Systemdrive (typically C:\)
    • Show All (don't miss this one)
  • Then click the Scan button & wait for it to finish.
  • Once done click on the [Save..] button, and in the File name area, type in "Gmer.txt" or it will save as a .log file which cannot be uploaded to your post.
  • Save it where you can easily find it, such as your desktop, and attach it in reply.

**Caution**
Rootkit scans often produce false positives. Do NOT take any action on any "<— ROOKIT" entries
Hi,

Please do the following

Refer to the ComboFix User's Guide

  • Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

    Link 1
    Link 2

    * IMPORTANT !!! Place ComboFix.exe on your Desktop
  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with ComboFix.

You can get help on disabling your protection programs here
  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • Your desktop may go blank. This is normal. It will return when ComboFix is done. ComboFix may reboot your machine. This is normal.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply

    Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

    ———————————————————————————————
  • Ensure your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications are re-enabled.

i did what you suggested. saved the log file and then tried to open the internet explorer and received a message. i dont remember exactly but roughly it said i am trying to sun the application which is schedulled for deletion. then i restarted the system. first of all it took ages to come to windows startup screen. then instead of going to the page which as for the password it displayed a blue screen with some numbers in a straight line in the middle of the page. something like 50000000x1000000etc etc. now i can not restart the system. everytime i restart it manually from the button it turns on and then shuts again.
Hi

please try starting it in safe mode with networking:

if it will not start in safe mode, then start it with the "Last Known Good Configuration"

To Enter Safemode
  • Go to Start> Shut off your Computer> Restart
  • As the computer starts to boot-up, Tap the F8 KEY repeatedly,
  • this will bring up a menu.
  • Use the Up and Down Arrow Keys to scroll up to Safemode (with networking)
  • Then press the Enter Key on your Keyboard
  • go into your usual account

For Last Known Good Configuration

  • Go to Start> Shut off your Computer> Restart
  • As the computer starts to boot-up, Tap the F8 KEY repeatedly,
  • this will bring up a menu.
  • Use the Up and Down Arrow Keys to scroll up to Last Known Good Configuration
  • Then press the Enter Key on your Keyboard
  • go into your usual account

will the computer boot up now? You may be looking at hardware failure with the machine, as this doesn't appear to be caused by malware does it appear to be over heating? When was the last time you gave it a good clean out from the dust bunnies that accumulate? If you are able to boot it now, please try and find the combofix log, it should be located at c:\combofix.txt
stuff i got the wrong file. it not starting now. everytime i try to start it, it stops and does not do anything. what do i do now
Hi

It does appear as though this is definitely hardware related as you are clean of malware.

Delete the DDS and GMER logs from your system

Press Start + R to open a run box

type in Combofix /uninstall to uninstall combofix > press OK

now head over to the hardware section of the forum and start a new topic there

hopefully our expert techs can help you tweak the system to resolve these issues

include a link to this topic so they can see it's not malware related.
