Hi Lads ,
I have a Aspire Laptop 6930g MODEL 15inch
Recently i have been getting alot of problems with my laptop, and its always the screen, at first i had no clue why the screen kept flickering so i gave it to a mate and he said to me give me 60 quid i will get it fixed, so he told me that he is getting a new VGA screen wire fitted in? the same problem occured couple of weeks later, i took it into my own hands and i bought a new screen, but this time its worse its like the same when i first had the problem? now my last resort is
BUY a NEW GFX card for for the laptop , but the signs of it flickering and at times its perfect only when you load an application like windows media player it starts flickering .
Or my friends conned me and didnt put the new cable in…
Hi, sorry to hear of the problem with your laptop…
we need to figure out the cause of the problem,
Try this:
1 Connect your laptop to a known good working screen (a VDU used in connection with a desktop computer would be a good choice)
see if your laptop can drive the external screen without any problems.
Report back on how it behaves

If the external screen works fine then it means that the Video "card" (inside your computer) is OK.
The fault must therefore lie in either the Screen or the cabling to it.

the screen is BRAND new must be the cable i think ? i orderd a cable off of ebay will keep u posted what happens
Yes as long as the screen and the cabling and the microswitch (the one that shuts down the screen when you close the lid) are all fitted correctly.
