file security issue!

hi all! I have got a small home network on 3 of my PCs and last day i was trying to apply security password on the folder of one PC. But it was not allowing me to apply that. I doubt this is due to the network settings? Is that so? Does PCs on network face this problem?

You can't apply a "password" to one folder of your PC. Why don't you tell us what you are trying to accomplish? And what you did?
