forgot the log in password!

hey all! I have an old PC which i protected with a Log in password almost 6 months back and now i can not remember the password? what can be the other way to crack this password?

well this is not the BIOS password, and i know how to break the BIOS password. it is the password which lets you log into your system and i have no such intention to hack a system. i just forgot my own PC's password. and this is very much possible well thanks anyway.
