hey guys ok i got a problem now, i play world of warcraft and the game runs fine until i join a 25 player raid.. and soon as we start to fight something.. my FPS goes to 0 and i cant do anything until the fight is over, and sometimes i get disconnected from the game. i was wondering if formatting my computer completely would solve the problem because i never had this problem before until recently when there was a patch. can anybody help me out here? i would be greatful as i dont really want to have to format my computer.
thanks guys.
hey tony, i'm not a tech but i used to play WoW. i stopped in dec 09. my comp is around 8 yrs old, went thru a few video cards and finally a MB which upgraded my video card to a pciE.and i only have 1gb of memory. i've had a few lag problems after some of the resent updates. i'd look into turning off some of your video options in WoW grafx page. i ran 25 man raids in a big guild with no problems. the problems i did have were to grafx updates WoW did in patches. turn off the eye candy and see if you can improve your frame rate. also look at your mods. mods can reduce frame rate. here's something you can try on your next raid. ask to be the 26th man. tell the raid leader you want to join just to check your framerate and see if you get DC. before the raid starts, turn off all your mods, like you just bought the game. join the raid and see what happens. if you have full movement and can play, you might have to many mods running. you might also want to check on a program called game booster. it turns off some processes to free up your computer for games like WoW. it's very easy to use without configuring it.
