This is my first gaming computer im going to build soon, but am having concerns if this will perform to my expectations.
Purpose for Computer: The main reason i am building this computer is to play WoW, record with fraps with no lag in ultra settings 1920x1080 resolution, and to do some video editing with programs such as adobe after effects and sony vegas. Id also like to play other games; such as l4d2, cod, ff14, and maybe crisis (not going to suffer if i cant since it does demand alot).
Budget: Id like to say ~$1500 USD (though im a bit over my budget atm). I will mainly buy from newegg b/c they're awesome, but if theres another site that exceeds them via price and customer support, i wouldnt mind that as well.
Anyways, here is the list of parts (links provided)
OS - Win7 Home Premium 64bit OEM $94.99
CPU - i7 930 $289.99
Mobo - Asus P6X58D-E $239.99
GPU - XFX Radeon HD 5870 $399.99
RAM - OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) $179.99
Case - Lian Li Lancool PC-K62 $109.99
PSU - Corsair hx750w $149.99
HDD - WD Caviar Black 1TB $94.99
Burner/Reader - Lite-On CD/DVD Burner OEM $22.99
Total: ~$1700+
At the moment, i have a dual monitor system with a 19inch BenQ and 23inch Acer. Im also looking to get a Razer Lycosa/Naga which will be another ~$150+.
Im currently looking for combos on newegg so the price may go down just a tad. If theres anything you notice i could lower in price but keep about the same or equal performance, i would like to hear it.
Thanks for reading this wall of links and I will anxiously wait for your response.
