I've been having issues with my mouse just now. It was fine yesterday but all of a sudden it does noot want to work anymore nor does any other mouse I tried includig USB and PS/2. I tried to system restore and that did not work either. All I can say if I cannot move my mouse or click its almsot as if its not being picked up yet it is on. Sorry for the typos having difficulty navigating with the keyboard and stuff is in way of my typing box.

Hiya and sorry to hear about your problems.

I ran into this problems a few weeks ago with one of my wifes friends pc and this is what I found, the southbridge chipset that controls all the IO's (Inputs / Outputs) went bad and only way around this was to replace the motherboard.

If you did a system restore and the same problem exist, no usb's, no ps2 devices working it could be the problem with the southbridge chip set controller on the Motherboard and its heading for complete failure.

My be best to have a service tech at a PC repair shop to check this out, in which I fear that is your problem. Watch this post to see if anyone else may have an answer for you.
