Working of AVG 8

Hello all! Is AVG blocking a virus or threat when the web shield and resident shield pops up and saying that it detected a virus or threat, or it just notify's me and doesn't do anything about the threat? Let me know please…Thanks

most folks have their AVG set up so it will deal with infections automatically…… first it notifies you of the infection then it will quarantine it, or heal it or delete it…..have a look in the virus vault (quarantine area) to see whats in there… Also AVG keeps a log file of infections found and action taken…. have a look for it. Are you using the latest most up to date version with sig/defintions updated today? Regards paws
