Can anyone tell me if the above printer is compatible with windows 7?
I've scoured the web and can't find any reference to the printer and windows 7. Possibly a driver upgrade?
Thanks for reading and in advance for any help offered.
Hi,
Yes the HP f380 works Ok in Win 7
Drivers are available from here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwar…ng=en&cc=us
be sure that you use the correct driver for Win 7 ie 32 bit or 64 bit according to your version of Win 7
Hp drivers can be "touchy" if you use the wrong procedures….
so be sure that when installing the printer:
1 you DO NOT connect the USB cable until the software has been installed or the wizard asks you connect it….. if you plug it in before you should…… it will not work and you could have hours of "fun" learning all the intricacies of the HP scrubber tools and methods of removing entries from the Registry, and some of them really don't want to be removed!
2 You save the drivers and keep them safe just in case you ever need them again!
3 The printer must have paper in the tray on this model for it to be recognised correctly….. if there's no paper in the tray it will throw up an error that indicates all sorts of problems…… putting white paper in the tray before you try a test print is best.
Regards
