Hey guys!
Can you give me your feedback on refurbished items? I have the idea they are not all time used and damaged items but this time i would like to have some personal experiences. Have you ever used Refurbished products especially laptops and how was the experience?
Thanks in advance
As with all things it's buyer beware, technically\logically they should be fine, but you have no idea of it's history or usage so "IF" something goes wrong you don't know for sure what the cause was, also depending on who does the refurb will depend on the quality of this, logically the makers are those best placed to do these things, BUT, it isn't unknown for someone who just knows what they are doing to occasionally do a better job, so research into who did what is the tip here, and research the success rate of doing these things with that person\company.
The "ONLY" difference between a new one and a refurbished one (given the obvious history of the refurb unit) is the warranty, and this is traded off against the saving in price between new and refurb, there is no way in the world a person can say if a new unit will or wont be as good\better\worse than a refurb one, there are good and bad in ALL these units, it's just luck of the draw if you get a good one or not, whether it be new or refurb, so there is nothing to say steer clear of refurb units, but do be aware of the difference in what it offers (especially in support) compared to new units, and see if the price difference is enough to make it worth it, hope this helps a bit.
