My computer has been rebooting itself. It has rebooted itself 3 times today. I will be in the middle of checking email, playing an online game, or running my Norton Anti virus and it just reboots. Can anyone help me with fixing this problem.
Look in Event Viewer and see if any errors are being logged (they will be in RED)

Click Start then Run, type eventvwr.msc and press Enter or click OK

Look in all three categories listed on the left. Double click on any error to look at the details. Use the arrows to move up and down in the events listed. Post the data here. If it's more than a couple, copy the data to notepad and save as a .txt file, then use the Browse and Upload buttons below the message input are to upload the txt file here, then click on the Manage Current Attachments box to paste a link to the upload file so we can look at it.

To copy data to notepad, you first have to copy it to the clipboard. You do this by clicking on the icon of two pages under the up and down arrows on the right side of the window. Then you paste the info into notepad.

Next, go to the Spyware / Malware / Virus Removal forum, read the info there and follow the posted directions. Once you receive a clean bill of health, come back here if you have any additional questions or concerns or it turns out not to be a malware problem.

Please be patient as that is a very busy area. If you do not receive a response in 3 days, post a message here: http://forums.whatthetech.com/What_Do_If_Y…ays_t78698.html

Post back here once you've received a clean bill of health if you still have problems.
There were a ton of errors it was showing I had to split this into several documents to get it to add on to here… there are 2 other attachments that would not attach onto here not sure why. I do have them saved in a file will try to attach them again in another reply. There were a ton of warnings as well but I did not copy those as you said red only… :pullhair: 📎Error_messages.txt 📎error_messages2.txt
What was the file extension of the files you couldn't upload? Many are not allowed. The ones you did upload were .txt.

A quick look at the Event Viewer report indicates severe problems trying to allocate space on the hard drive for the page file (pagefile.sys).

How much free space do you have on your hard drive and how is Virtual Memory setup?

For free space, open My Computer and select View / Details. That will tell you the total size and free space.

For Virtual Memory setting, right click on My Computer and select Properties.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Under Performance, click on Settings.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Under Virtual Memory, click on Change.

Post a picture of the Performance Options window as follows:

With the Performance Options window selected, pres Alt+Print Screen. This captures an image of the active window.
Click on Start then Run, type mspaint and press Enter or click GO. This starts the Paint program.
Click anywhere in the Paint window then press Ctrl+v to paste the image into Paint.
Click File, Save as and save it as VirtMem.bmp on your Desktop or anywhere you want, as long as you can find it.
Use the Browse and Upload buttons like you did for the Error txt files only select the saved VirtMem.bmp file.
