Tryed reading on the net for info and it seams theirs no clear explantion of what is best. Here is the question of Video cards what differance is their in them 8 meg, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1gig does more memory in the video card help with speed of graphics such as surfing the net, loading program graphics and ect. To add to this the other part with memory is ISA, PCI, AGP, PCI-e x1 PCI-e x16 which is better with the memory. If I was to say get a 32 meg video card and say pci would this be a good card run games, videos, and such or yet low card memory not really good for the performance of the pc? Most of the info on the net I found gives to much jar gon talk looking for the simple answer to this, what do yall think?
Let me try. Yes memory on graphic cards affect the speed of processing games and other graphic intensive applications. Memory on graphic cards act like cache on processor. Instead using your memory (RAM) the video card uses the memory built in to it. It is the closest ram to the video card so it is faster. But a newer video card with a less memory can beat a older video card with larger memory. Much like with the processor and memory. A pc with a 2gb ram on Core 2 Duo it much better than a PC with a 4gb of ram on Pentium 4. Hope this help you even a little.
